Mars successfully transferred into all three-feature events through a top finish in each heat race and was only one of two drivers to finish in the top-five in all three events.
Jimmy started his Parkerstores Monte Carlo on Thursday night in MACS action from the 16th starting position and roared through the field to finish 5th. Jimmy's strong whirlwind through the field tied him for the Carrera "Hard Charger" award for the 50-lap feature event. This was Mars' first 2001 MACS feature event.
The following night witnessed Mars mount another outstanding come from behind run as the talented Wisconsin native started from 13th and worked his Parkerstores MasterSbilt to finish 5th in the 50-lap $10,000 to win STARS Series feature event.
During the final night of competition, Jimmy put forth an exceptional qualifying effort and rounded out UDTRA time trials with the 4th fastest time out of 57 entries. Jimmy posted a runner up finish in his heat race that placed him in the 8th starting position for the 75-lap UDTRA feature event. For the third night in a row, Mars mastered his Parkerstores Monte Carlo to his third straight 5th place finish by crossing the stripe in 4th place to round out the "Big Kahuna" weekend.
Jimmy's three top-five finishes at Allegany Speedway gives the talented dirtcar pilot 6 top 10 finishes in the last six events including a victory at Green Valley Speedway.
Jimmy Mars will be in action this weekend (October 12-13) in Atlanta, GA for the UDTRA Dixie Shootout at Dixie Speedway. Jimmy is currently 8th in UDTRA series points and will mark his second straight year of finishing in the top-10 in the UDTRA points standings.
