(Aug. 6) - Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia's Scott Fraser continues to impress the racing world as he scored his third consecutive American Speed Association finish in the Jennerstown 300 at Jennerstown Speedway in Pennsylvania. This was Fraser's third ASA ACDelco Series start. He was eighth in the first two events.

The Canadian short track standout started the Jennerstown race from the fifth spot and stayed in the top five all day, leading the pack on a couple of occasions. In the end, it was pit stop strategy that determined the outcome of the race, both for Fraser and the winner, Scott Hansen, from Green Bay, Wisconsin.

"We didn't get any inside tires all day," said Fraser. "If we'd have had them we may have been contending for the win in the end. We did use pit strategy to gain the lead, but fresher tires on the other cars was a definite advantage."

Hansen raced to the checkers after Gary St. Amant made a late race stop for tires after dominating the event. Hansen stayed out, took the lead and stayed there until the end.

The start of the race was rain delayed and ran into the early evening hours before it's completion.

Mike Garvey, Gary St. Amant and Rick Beebe filled out the top five ahead of Fraser.

Fraser returns to ASA ACDelco Series competition on August 27th at The Milwaukee Mile in West Allis, Wisconsin. He will race the International Pro Stock Challenge Atlantic CAT 250 at Scotia Speedworld in Halifax, Nova Scotia on August 19. Fraser in the defending champion of that series and winner of race number one on the 2000 IPSC season. He scaled back his 2000 IPSC schedule to pursue his racing career with the ASA ACDelco Series.
