The first round of racing for the Indiana Speedway Pavement Series at the Indianapolis Speedrome featured a solid mix of old friends and new faces; weekend warriors and racing purists. The Go-Kart group travels a variety of tracks throughout Indiana and brought the Karts back to the Speedrome for the first time in over 20 years.

The last time the Karts were Speedrome regulars guys like Mike Groff and Mark Dismore were starting their careers. A new generation has taken up the mantle and are continuing the tradition of the ground-hugging open-seaters at the exciting fifth-mile asphalt oval.

Wins were scored by Jeff Bland Jr., Brad Honey, Andrew Prather, Jimmy Curry, Matt Browning, Will Copass, Bruce McKinley, Jason Shores, and Mark Atkins. The Series returns Sunday, June 10th and continues into September.

Speedrome racing kicks into high gear as the NAMARS Midgets invade this Thursday, Modifieds, Legends, Roadrunners and Bomber Figure-8's visit on Friday, Saturday night is Stocks, Late Models and Roadrunners and Sunday afternoon the Outlaw Stocks come to town for Round 1 of the Hutchison Signs Red, White & Blue series.
