Round 3 of the Indianapolis Speedrome regular season saw some new faces in the winners circle in all divisions.

Rodney Sizemore capped a long drought in the Bryant 76 Late Models taking the 25-Lap Oval feature from Jeff Hizer, R.J. Norton, and returning champions Wayne Arnold and Bobby Douthitt. The 35-Lap figure-8 went to Bill Tunny Jr over points leaders Jack Dossey Jr and Bruce Tunny with Arnold and Douthitt again in 4th and 5th. Bill Jr's win marked the third different figure-8 winner in three races.

Chuck's Race Car Parts Stocks were a wild bunch with Lonnie Goble clawing out the victory over Rob McCalister Sr., Jack Knight, Brad Kendall and points leader Jack Smith.

The Sunshine Cafe Roadrunners ran their features the "wrong-way" making right-hand turns to keep the hot mechanics stymied. Charles Graham took the "A" main over Barry Coy, Bill Fortner, James Eads and points leader Jeff Smith. The "B" main not only ran the "wrong-way" but did it around the flagpole as well with Barry Tabor triumphant.

Racing goes under the lights Friday, April 27, 2001 with Modifieds, Legend Cars, Bandoleros, Roadrunners and Bomber Figure-8's. Gates open at 5:00 and racing goes green at 7:00. Saturday night it's the Late Models, Stocks and Roadrunners with the same schedule. Sunday afternoon the Indiana Speedway Pavement Series for Go-karts kicks off its 2001 Speedrome debut at 11:00 AM.
