Pro Mods featured at The Strip; IMCA and Motocross action also on tap at LVMS
LAS VEGAS – Pro Mods, E.T. Bracket racing, IMCA racing and motocross invade Las Vegas Motor Speedway Saturday evening.
Saturday night The Strip at LVMS will host a Pro Mod feature event along with the Summit Racing E.T. Bracket Series sponsored by National Performance Center. The Series includes Super Quick, Pro, Sportsman, Street and Motorcycles.
Pro Mods will qualify Friday night with eliminations set for Saturday. Entry fee for competitors is $50 for Super Quick and Pro, $40 for Sportsman and Motorcycles and $25 for Street.
Gates are scheduled to open at 4 p.m. Spectator general admission is $15 for adults and $8 for seniors and military. Children twelve and under are free. Saturday night is ladies night at The Strip. Ladies admission is only $8. The Strip also will host Friday Night Drags. High School and Import drivers will compete in bracket eliminations, while other racers will have an open test-n-tune and gambler elimination with a $10 buy-in.
Entry fee for Friday Night Drags is $15 for car and driver and $10 for crewmembers. High-school students can compete for $10 with a valid I.D. Gates are set to open Friday evening at 5 p.m. with racing from 6 p.m. to 11.
Spectator admission is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and military and $2 for children 6-12. Children five and under are free. (more) (2)
IMCA action returns to the half-mile dirt oval this Saturday. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Late Models, Hitchin’ Post/ Exiss Legends Cars, and Thunder Stox will compete for points.
In the IMCA Modified division, Jim Perkins continues to increase his points lead over Dan Fitzgerald. The drivers have battled closely for the track championship all season.
Bill Hasselle became the new points leader after surpassing Mike Fitch. Sonny Wahl and Steve Taylor will continue to battle to keep their lead in the Hitchin’ Post/ Exiss Legends Cars and Thunder Stox divisions, respectively.
Gates are set to open at the half-mile dirt oval at 6 p.m. with heat races at 7:30.
Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors and military, $2 for children 6-12. Children five and under are free. The Family Four Pack is available for $25.
Motocross practice will be held Wednesday and Friday this week. Gates open at 4 p.m. with practice from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Entry fee for bike and rider is $15. Crewmembers and spectators are $5. Night Series Round 4 hosted by Club MX and LVMS will be Saturday evening. Entry fee for Club MX members is $25, $35 non-members and $15 second class. Gates are scheduled to open at 3 p.m. with practice starting at 4 p.m. and racing beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Spectator admission is $8 for adults, $4 children 5-12 and children under five are free.
