Pevely, Mo. (September 9)-- The I-55 Pepsi Nationals take to the track this Saturday, September 14th. This will be the 20th Annual I-55 Pepsi Nationals and it promises to be one of the most memorable.

$10,000 will go to the winner of the 40 lap main event in the UMP Late Model division. The UMP Modified feature winners will receive $1,200. The AARA Sportsmen cars also will race with the feature winners earning $400.

Also, there will be a special UMP Late Model match race paying $2000 to win featuring Billy Moyer, Shannon Babb, Don O'Neal, Kevin Weaver, Tim Ratajczyk, Ed Dixon, Terry English & the fastest qualifier that is not already in this event.

Billy Moyer of Batesville, Ark., won the late model portion of the nationals last year, giving him five victories in the first 19 years of the event, which ties him with Ed Dixon for the most wins at the Pepsi Nationals. Scott Weber will be on hand looking for his third straight Pepsi Nationals UMP Modified Title.

Gates will open at 4 p.m. Qualifying begins at 6:30 p.m. Racing will begin at 7 p.m.

Pit passes are $30. Grandstand admission is $25. Children 12 years old and younger will be admitted free into the grandstands.

Due to highway construction, you must take the Herculaneum exit, which is exit #178 from Interstate 55 to get to the track. Once you exit from Interstate 55, head east approximately one mile to Hwy 61/67. Turn north on Hwy 61/67 and go approximately one mile to Herky-Horine Road. Turn west on Herky-Horine Road and follow it to the track.
