HARDEEVILLE, S.C. (June 29, 2001) - Hardeeville Motor Speedway announces the postponement of the car and motorcycle show scheduled for July 6 through 8. The car and motorcycle show will be rescheduled for a date to be announced later.

"We regretfully announce we have had to postpone the car show planned for next weekend," stated Todd Fisher, General Manager for Hardeeville Motor Speedway. "We intend to reschedule the car show sometime within the year and hopefully, make it a more exciting event."

Hardeeville Motor Speedway won't be taking the whole week off next week though. The track plans to hold the Hilton Head Island Honda Fourth of July Extravaganza on Wednesday, July 4. The celebration will include a full lineup of racing, with all seven divisions scheduled to compete, along with a concert by Hilton Head's Michelle Murray, a world record attempt by professional motorcycle jumper Sky Lungston and to top off the evening, a spectacular fireworks show.

Grandstands will open at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4. Qualifying will begin at 5:30 p.m., with feature races immediately following. Hardeeville Motor Speedway is located three miles southeast of I-95 on Highway 17. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, with reduced rates for seniors, military and children.
