GREENVILLE, SC (September 20, 2001)- The rescheduled 'Pete Blackwell Memorial Shrine Race' will run Saturday, September 22, with a 50 lap Late Model main event topping the race card. Additional racing is scheduled for the Super Stocks, Street Stock, and Charger divisions. The annual fund raiser for the Greenville Shriners Hospital for Children will also feature a NASCAR auction, with items donated by many Winston Cup teams being auctioned off. Fans are encouraged to bring American flags for participation in the Expressions Unlimited 'Salute to America' pre-race extravaganza.

Gates will open Saturday at 4pm, with the first race set to go at 8. Adult general admission will be $12.00, with children under 12 admitted free with a paying adult. The Greenville Pickens Speedway is located at the intersection of highways 123 and 124, between Greenville and Easley.
