FREDERICKTOWN, Mo. -- (July 28, 2002) Following weeks of various problems that caused the temporary closing of the Fredericktown Raceway the track will reopen this Friday, Aug. 2nd and will feature all four of its regular classes (UMP Late Models, RAMS Mini Stocks, Pro Streets and Pure Streets).

"We just want to get going again and give our fans and our racers the best possible facility we can give them," said Fredericktown Raceway promoter Denny Keith. "I've taken so many phone calls encouraging us on it is heartwarming."

The track has been closed since June 28th. One of the highlights of the Aug. 2nd show will be a RAMS (Racing Association of Mini Stocks) Point Series night, the first of three remaining RAMS series races on the season.
