Fredericktown Raceway announces 2002 schedule

FREDERICKTOWN, Mo. -- (March 4, 2001) The 2002 racing season at the Fredericktown Raceway will begin on Friday, March 29th with its annual "Play Day." The admission for spectators to the event is a can of non-perishable food that will go to the local food banks while admission to the pit area is only $5.

The start of the 2002 points season at the Fredericktown Raceway will take place the following Friday, April 5th. The gates will open at 5 p.m. with racing at 7:30. The Pure Streets, Pro Streets and UMP Late Models will all be there along with the first monthly visit of the ATV quads. The ATVs visit the Fredericktown Raceway the first Friday of every month during the racing season.

The Mini Stock class will make their first of four visits during the month of April to the Fredericktown Raceway on Friday, April 12th. Following a Saturday night (April 13th) engagement at the St. Francois County Raceway in Farmington, the Mini Stocks will return to the Fredericktown Raceway for dates on April 19th, April 24th and April 26th.

The April 24th date is a special Wednesday night show where the Mini Stocks will be joined by the IMCA style Modifieds and the 600cc Multis. The regular season at the Fredericktown Raceway will continue through Sept. 13th. There possibly will be some special shows posted at a later date concerning race events at Fredericktown after Sept. 13th.
