SAMSULA, FLORIDA -- The Florida Association of Stock Car Automobile Racing will run two 125 lap races this weekend. Friday night will be race one at Ocala (Florida) Speedway and Saturday night race two will be at Bronson (Florida) Motor Speedway.
Ocala Speedway is a three-eighths mile, semi-banked asphalt tri-oval. Bronson Motor Speedway is a three-eighths mile, high-banked asphalt oval.
Wayne Anderson of Wildwood, FL is current Sunbelt Super Late Model Series point leader after his race win on New Smyrna Speedway in Samsula, FL when he won the series opening FASCAR Sunbelt Super Late Model Pete Orr Memorial Orange Blossom 125 in January.
Anderson was crowned winner of the 37th Annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing Super Late Model Champion in February at New Smyrna Speedway. The hot-running Anderson also recorded a 2003 season opening 100 lap Super Late Model victory at Ocala Speedway.
Ticket prices for Ocala Speedway are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, ages 18 and under are $8 and a family of four is $35. At Bronson Motor Speedway $15 for adults, children 5-12 are $5 and five and under are free in grandstands.
FASCAR Super Late Model qualifying is scheduled at 8 p.m. at Ocala with racing following and qualifying is slated for 7:30 p.m. at Bronson Motor Speedway with racing following.
Ocala Speedway is located six miles north of Ocala on I-75 to exit 358, then east .7 of a mile on SR 326, then one mile north on CR 25A. Bronson Motor Speedway is located 15 miles southwest of Gainesville on SR 24.
