IPOWER Announces Race at New Smyrna Speedway

DAYTONA BEACH, FL (March 24, 2004) -- IPOWER and New Smyrna Speedway, in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, will team together to promote the first ever DASH-TOBERFEST to be held on Saturday, October 9, 2004.

IPOWER President, Buck Parker commented on securing the race date, "We are really excited that we have the opportunity to bring the DASH Series back to Florida for their first visit to the historic New Smyrna Speedway. This track is well known for producing some of the finest short track racing anywhere. It has long been known for its annual Governor's Cup event and producing short track legends like Wayne Anderson and David Rogers."

"With IPOWER based in Daytona Beach, it seems appropriate that we bring the series to a track so close to our home office," said Parker. "New Smyrna Speedway is a fast high-banked half mile oval that will lend itself to some great racing with the IPOWER DASH Series and Mean Miatas."

The IPOWER Mean Miatas held their first event at New Smyrna Speedway on Saturday, March 13th and left the fans begging for more. IPOWER intends to deliver with an action packed program that will also include another touring series yet to be determined.
