FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (May 26, 2001) Rod Crabdree of Desloge, Mo. picked up his first feature win of the 2001 racing season at the St. Francois County Raceway Saturday night. Crabdree, who was the 1997 track champion at SFCR, held off the challenge of Dick Gaines II and Paul Patterson (who finished second and third respectively) to pick up his checkered flag. Terry Babb captured fourth place with Bobby Hawks fifth. They were followed by Wayne Sternberg, Keith Burch, Greg Burns, Jason Keith and Jay Landolt. For the first time this season both Tim and Joey Montgomery, the points leaders, finished out of the top five with Joey ending up in 18th place and TIm finishing in 20th.

Dave Johnston was the winner of the first heat race with Ted Adams second and Joey Montgomery third. Patterson won the second heat with Tim Montgomery second and Gaines third. Crabdree won the third heat with Burch second and Burns third. The trophy dash was just a part of Crabdree's triple crown night as he was followed across the finish line in the event by Patterson and Tim Montgomery. Babb won the "B" main with Tubby Black second. In the Hobby Stock class, Karl Francis of Fredericktown continued his sensational season at SFCR by winning yet another feature race.
