Veteran Michigan Late Model Driver Tim Phillips To Run For Rookie Honors
Salem, IN (January 8, 2002) – Veteran Late Model driver Tim Phillips has announced that he will compete with the Kendall Late Model Series full time in 2002. Phillips, a native of Kalamazoo, Michigan, has competed at Galesburg Speedway, the 3/8 high banked M-40 Race Park and at the famous 3/8 mile Kalamazoo Speedway. Phillips is a multi time feature winner at M-40 Race Park, with numerous starts at all three tracks.
Phillips will have two Port City Monte Carlo’s with Bob Snyder motors for his run with the Kendall Series in 2002. Phillips will have sponsorship from Advanced Automotive and Snap-On Tools.
Phillips will be competing against fellow Kalamazoo native Todd Currier for the Hubler Group Rookie Of The Year Award. Like Currier, Phillips feels his best series finish could be at the July 3rd Kendall Series event at Kalamazoo Speedway, since he will have more experience on the tricky 3/8 mile track than most Kendall Series regulars.
