Salem, IN (October 1, 2003) -- Sunoco Super Series competitor Andy Ponstein will be doing double duty by racing in two different extra lap events this weekend. On Friday the 2002 Sunoco Super Series Rookie Of the Year will drive from his home in Jenison, Michigan to Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Indiana to practice and qualify for Sunday's 34th Annual Car Brite 400 Sunoco Super Series event. Ponstein became a first time winner with the Sunoco Super Series on September 13th in the Sunoco 150 at Anderson Speedway.

Ponstein and his team will then drive back to Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan for Saturday's Chet Mysliwiec Memorial 100, which was rained out last Saturday and rescheduled for this Saturday. First, Ponstein will compete in a 50 lap-qualifying race on Saturday at Berlin Raceway, then in the 100 lap Chet Mysliwiec Memorial 100 against many of the top Outlaw Late Model drivers in the Mid-west.

Ponstein and his team will then make the trip back to Winchester Speedway on Sunday in time to make the final preparations to his Great Deals Coupon Magazine/Nyland Body Shop Ford for the grueling 400 lap Car Brite 400, which is scheduled to take the green flag at 1PM. If all goes well Ponstein will compete in 550 laps of racing at two of the toughest racetracks in the nation this weekend, along with all the practice and qualifying laps.
