Preditor Ohio Challenge to begin Saturday at Mansfield Motorsports Speedway
Salem, IN (May 9, 2003) -- The Preditor Ohio Challenge is set to begin this Saturday evening with the Sunoco Super Series first ever visit to the beautifully refurbished Mansfield Motorsports Speedway for the running of the Mansfield Mothers Day 100 in celebration of the day this Sunday that honors all mothers. Preditor Racecars & Fabrication will award one basic offset late model chassis to a selected driver who competes in all five Sunoco Super Series events in Ohio this season. The Preditor Racecars & Fabrication chassis will be given away by a weighted random draw, based on finishes in the Ohio events, at the September 7th Sunoco Super Series event at Columbus Motor Speedway, the series final event of the season in Ohio. To be eligible to win the Preditor Ohio Challenge, a driver must compete in all five series events in Ohio.
Preditor Racecars & Fabrication is owned and operated by late model driver Jack Smith of Wadsworth, Ohio. Smith competed in selected Sunoco Super Series events in 2002, and plans to do the same in 2003 racing for Ehret Motorsports. Smith's 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo will use a Preditor Racecar & Fabrication chassis with sponsorship from Rapid Response Restoration, Bella Landscaping, and Amsoil. Preditor Racecars & Fabrication will also award a basic offset late model chassis to the 2003 Hubler Group / Blake Carburetion Rookie Of The Year.
Partners Michael Dzurilla and Dean Bolton have transformed the half-mile oval at Mansfield Motorsports Speedway into one of the finest short track facilities in the country. On Saturday pit gates will open for Sunoco Super Series teams at 1PM EST. Practice will begin at 3:30PM, with Yockey Motorsports Qualifying at 5:30PM. The evening's race program will begin at 7PM.
