Track owner Michael Dzurilla and General Manager Chris Mize have transformed Mansfield Motorsports Speedway into one of the premier short track facilities in the country. The banked ½ mile oval, located just outside Mansfield, Ohio, has undergone massive renovations over the past three years that has made the facility one of the CRA Super Series teams favorite to compete at.

"We're excited to have two CRA Super Series races on our schedule in 2005," said Chris Mize, General Manager of Mansfield Motorsports Speedway. "The CRA Super Series always puts on great shows. We look forward to both the April 30th and September 11th races, knowing they'll be among the highlights of what promises to be a great season both for Mansfield Motorsports Speedway and the CRA Super Series."

The CRA Super Series will have a 100-lap event at Mansfield Motorsports Speedway on Saturday, April 30th, and will return for another 100-lap event on Sunday, September 11th.

"We are extremely happy to be returning to Mansfield Motorsports Speedway in 2005 with two events," remarked R.J. Scott, Managing Partner of the CRA Super Series. "It is a privilege to be able to take our series to such a great facility. I want to thank Mike Dzurilla and Chris Mize for allowing the CRA Super Series to be a part of their impressive 2005 schedule of events. We are expecting a great field of cars at both events, especially with the Mansfield Motorsports Speedway Late Model rules being so close to the CRA Super Series rules!"

Muncie, Indiana's Evan Jackson won the CRA Super Series Goodyear 100 on Saturday night, July 24th, 2004 at Mansfield Motorsports Speedway, leading all but the first lap of the event. Running nearly even with Bobby Parsley on the first lap, Jackson took over the lead going into the first turn of the second lap and never trailed. 2004 CRA Super Series Rookie Of the Year Chris Gabehart ran right behind Jackson through out the race to get second, which was his best finish of the 2004 season. Jeff Lane finished third, while fourth place went to Fred Campbell who set a new series track record by more than a ½ second in Corteco Qualifying. Scott Hantz rounded out the top five in that event after a close battle with Campbell through out the final laps of the event.
