JOHNNY JENKINS WILL RACE WITH THE CRA SUPER SERIES IN 2006

Salem, IN (January 16, 2006) -- Team Travco Motorsports owner and driver Johnny Jenkins has announced that he will compete full-time with the CRA Super Series Presented By Spray Power during the 2006 race season. Jenkins will be competing for the CRA Super Series Season Championship as well as for Rookie of the Year Honors. Jenkins had originally planned to compete with the series in the second half of the 2005 season, but a severely broken wrist kept Jenkins from his 2005 racing plans.

"I had seen the CRA Super Series race several times and really liked what I saw," remarked Jenkins. "I really liked the group of competitors that race with the series and the professionalism of the series officials. I am really looking forward to getting back behind the wheel and competing for the series championship and trying to become the series 2006 Rookie of the Year!"

The London, Ohio native is a former Outlaw Late Model competitor at Columbus Motor Speedway. In 2004 Jenkins was the Columbus Motor Speedway NASCAR Rookie of the Year in the Outlaw Late Model Division, finishing 10th in overall points. In limited starts at Columbus Motor Speedway in 2005, Jenkins had 5 top five finishes with 2 wins in the Outlaw Late Models. Jenkins competed in drag racing before changing to oval racing. Jenkins had drag raced at speeds over 200mph.

Jenkins will have Roland Johnson as his Crew Chief, Matlock Hunt doing his tires, Mike Cline as a general mechanic along with his wife Tammy and daughter Brittany lending a hand at each event. Jenkins will compete in Howe Chassis's with motors from Tommy Todd Engines with help from Fast Racing Machine Work.
