Chris Gabehart Leads The Scott Performance Wire Five State Challenge Heading To Toledo Speedway This Sunday

Salem, IN (May 25, 2005) -- Chris Gabehart takes a four-point lead into the second round of the Scott Performance Wire Five State Challenge, an award program based upon five selected CRA Super Series points events in the five states the series will have points events in 2005, heading into Sunday's CRA Super Series event at Toledo Speedway. Gabehart grabbed the lead by winning the Manning Service 100 Presented By Spray Power at Winchester Speedway last Sunday, it was his first victory with the series. The other events involved with the Scott Performance Wire Five State Challenge include Sunday's event at Toledo Speedway located in Toledo, Ohio, the July 31st event at Kalamazoo Speedway located in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the September 25th event at Rockford Speedway located in Rockford, Illinois, and the October 1st event at I-70 Speedway located in Odessa, MO.

The Scott Performance Wire Five State Challenge will pay the driver who gets the most series points in the five events a $500 bonus and a set of Scott Performance Wires. The second place driver in the Scott Performance Wire Tri-State Challenge will receive a $300 bonus. The third place driver in the Scott Performance Wire Tri-State Challenge will receive a $200 bonus. Scott Performance Wire will also award the 2005 CRA Super Series Champion with a set of Scott Performance Wires and an additional set of Scott Performance Wires that will be given away by random draw of the top fifteen teams in final series points at the 2005 series awards banquet.

Gabehart leads Scott Hantz by four points. Eddie Hoffman is third nine points behind. A5 year old Landon Cassill is fourth fourteen points behind, while Jim Crabtree Jr. is fifth sixteen points behind.
