Rug Doctor Rents Clean Sweep Award worth $1,800 for Sunoco 150.

Salem, Ind. (June 6, 2002) -- The Rug Doctor Rents Clean Sweep Award will be worth a record $1,800 for the Sunoco 150 this Saturday night at Anderson Speedway, if the fast qualifier can win the event. The payout would break the record for the highest payout ever for the award, which came last season when Junior Hanley collected $1,400 for winning the Rug Doctor Rents Clean Sweep Award on August 19th at Indianapolis Raceway Park.

16-year-old Joel Kauffman has been the Tobacco Depot Fast Qualifier at both Anderson Speedway Sunoco Super Series events already held this season. Kauffman finished 3rd in the first Anderson Speedway event on April 20th, series veteran Kenny Tweedy got the win. Kauffman finished 17th at the Anderson Speedway event on May 11th, after spending several laps in the pits with ignition problems, legendary Late Model driver Junior Hanley claimed the win.

Practice for the Sunoco 150 will begin at 5PM, qualifying is scheduled for 6:30PM. The race program is scheduled to begin at 8PM. For up-to-the-minute coverage, fans can visit the official series website at www.sunocosuperseries.com.
