Rug Doctor Rents Clean Sweep Award worth $2,000 for Winchester 100.

Salem, Ind. (June 20, 2002) -- The Rug Doctor Rents Clean Sweep Award will be worth a record $2,000 for the Winchester 100 Presented By Rev Up Sports Energy Drink this Saturday night, June 22 at Winchester Speedway, if the fast qualifier can win the event. The payout would break the record for the highest payout ever for the award, which came last season when Junior Hanley collected $1,400 for winning the Rug Doctor Rents Clean Sweep Award on August 19th at Indianapolis Raceway Park.

Several series teams practiced at Winchester Speedway last week, hoping to gain an edge on qualifying and possibly claiming a record payout for a series 100- lap event. After six series events, there have been four drivers claiming Tobacco Depot Fast Qualifier Awards. 16 year old Joel Kauffman set the early pace by claiming the Tobacco Depot Fast Qualifier Award at the series first three events. Junior Hanley, J.R. Roahrig and Bobby Parsley have claimed the Tobacco Depot Fast Qualifier Award in order at the last three series events.

Practice for the Winchester 100 Presented By Rev Up Sports Energy Drink will begin at 3PM, qualifying is scheduled for 5PM. There will be an on track autograph session following qualifying, the race program is scheduled to begin at 7PM.
