Anderson Speedway Will Host CRA Sunoco Super Seires (formerly Kendall Late Model Series) Season Opener For Sixth Consecutive Year

Salem, IN (December 19, 2001) – Anderson Speedway will once again host the traditional season opener for the Sunoco Super Series on Saturday night, April 20, 2002. The tradition started with the first ever Sunoco Super Series event ever held, the event was at Anderson Speedway on Saturday night, April 26, 1997. On that night, Brian Ross claimed his first series win after a tough battle with Bill Baird and JR Roahrig. Since that evening Brian Ross has claimed several more series victories and Anderson Speedway has become the mainstay of the series, traditionally hosting up to five series events a year.

The 150 Lap Sunoco Super Series event on the high-banked ¼ mile is certain to draw a high number of participants again in 2002. The evening’s events will include practice and qualifying for the Kendall Series as well as a 15 lap Last Chance race.
