LAS VEGAS -- Las Vegas Motor Speedway officials have amended last week's penalty assessed to Legends Car driver Spencer Clark following an appeal.

Clark's one-race suspension has been reduced to a $500 fine. However, Clark's one-year probation will remain in effect. The penalties are the result of an incident following the Legends Car event on March 10 at the Bullring. The amended penalty was announced Wednesday by speedway officials.

"Everyone has the opportunity to make an appeal," said Chris Powell, LVMS executive vice president and general manager. "After reviewing the situation, we have determined that the proper penalty is the fine and probation rather than the suspension."

Clark will join the rest of the Legends Car drivers in this Saturday night's feature at the Bullring. The Legends race will precede the Supermodifieds first trip to the Bullring.

Las Vegan and Indy Racing League star Davey Hamilton will be among the competitors in the Supermodified event.
