Tickets on sale for Trickle benefit

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (March 4, 1997) Tickets go on sale today (March 4) at Texas Station Gambling Hall & Hotel, 2101 Texas Star Lane, in Las Vegas, or by calling 702-631-8370, for the 8 p.m., March 13, "Un-plugged Benefit Concert" that will help defray medical expenses for the popular Southwest Tour race driver Chris Trickle.

General admission tickets for the concert are only $15 and may be purchased at the Texas Station Winner's Center promotion booth, or by calling the phone number. VIP tickets at $100 will allow entry to a 6 p.m. VIP party, where the concert-goers can meet the celebrities who will perform, they can purchase commemorative gifts at a live and silent auction and have special concert seating. VIP tickets also may be purchased at Texas Station or by calling 702-631-8370.

The concert sponsors , Station Casinos, Inc., Star Nursery and Legends Cars of Nevada also announced today that Lisa Stewart, host of TNN's "This Week in Country Music;" Branscombe Richmond, a star of USA Network's "Renegade" series, and Country/Western star Brady Seals have joined the group of celebrities who will perform or participate in the concert.

Already scheduled to appear or perform are Country/Western stars Richard Sterben of the Oak Ridge Boys; Mark Collie, and John Hiatt; rock stars Peter Cetera, Vince Neil and Matt and Gunnar Nelson; TV stars John Amos, Richard Dean Anderson, and Jeannie Cooper; Apollo Astronaut Pete Conrad, and Chris Trickle's uncle, NASCAR Winston Cup race driver Dick Trickle.

     Chris Trickle, a native Las Vegan, remains hospitalized in serious
condition as the  result of a gunshot wound.

The concert will be the kickoff for the first two Legends Cars races March 14 and March 15 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The March 14 Legends event will include a celebrity race featuring many of the concert performers.
