INDIANAPOLIS, IN. (May 01, 2002) - Chris Shultz and the #04 ASILIMITED Monte Carlo head south to Pensacola, Florida.
All repairs have been completed on the #04 ASILIMITED Monte Carlo from the practice incident at Irwindale, CA. Shultz, Crew Chief Deon Deneau and crew member Brad McIntyre have worked long and hard to restore the car to it's original set-up. "It is a true testament to Deon's resolve to make this car as good or better than new." says driver Shultz.
The team finished testing the #04 Monte Carlo at Toledo Speedway last week. "The car responded well and Chris was able to log over 350 laps with excellent feedback for our future race here" says Deneau. "Set-up for Toledo is very similar to this weeks race at Pensacola."
Indianapolis based ASILimited will again sponsor the #04 Monte Carlo. "It was a disappointing incident in California, but a lesson the entire team learned from. I am excited to be racing in Florida and I know Chris will do well" say Ken Smith, President of ASILIMITED
Shultz still has eight races to compete in during the 2002 season to ensure his rookie status for 2003.
ASA officials will wave the green flag for the 4th time in the 2002 season this Sunday, May 05, 2002. The National Network (TNN) will broadcast the ASARACING.com 300 live from Five Flags Speedway at 2:00 p.m. EST.
