Oswego, NY - ISMA president Chuck Handley announced this morning that the ISMA racing events scheduled for Kawartha Speedway on Friday, Sept. 14 and Cayuga Speedway on Saturday, Sept. 15 have been cancelled indefinitely. It was felt, due to the recent tragedy in New York City and Virginia, that the action should be taken immediately out of respect to all those involved. The entire ISMA organization and the supermodified fraternity in general express their deepest sympathies at this time of despair that overshadows our nation.

It was also felt that the situation at the Canadian border would be another deterrent to continuing with the plans to race this weekend. ISMA officials and track owners will discuss a possible rescheduling of the events within a week and should anything further in regard to the races be determined, announcement will be forthcoming.
