BLOOMINGTON, IN (June 11, 2000) - The Northern All Star Late Models seldom get an opportunity to compete on a track that compares with the famous red clay of Bloomington Speedway. "Dry slick" is the norm for these guys; but they won't get that at Bloomington Speedway. They'll get a nice heavy track; and a guy with a good car, a good setup, and a lot of skill stands a real chance of tasting victory - regardless of where he starts.

The fans will get a good show; because some of the best late model racers in the area compete in the Northern All Stars series. Doug McCammon is currently leading the points; and local favorite Don O'Neal is second. Also among the leaders in the points chase are Steve Barnett, Bob Pierce, Scott Smith, Mike Jewell, Richie Hedrick, Kevin Claycomb, Steve Hillard, Brad Barrow, Jim Curry, Doug Ault, Kevin Weaver, Steve Casebolt, Jr., Ernie Barrow, and John Gill. In addition, you can bet that all the local late model hot shoes will be at Bloomington too.

In addition to the late models, the Tire & Wheel Center Super Stocks and the O'Neal Wood Products Open Wheel Modifieds will be in competition. Some of them may well pick up a late model ride and do double duty.

Those who haven't seen a late model show lately will be surprised to see how these cars have evolved. They sophisticated, purpose built racers; and the drivers have also progressed to a very professional level. Don't miss this rare opportunity to see the best racers on the best track.

Grandstand admission for this special event is only $12 and pit admission is $20. Pit gates open at 3:00, grandstands open at 4:30. Overnight camping is permitted.
