Berlin Raceway 2003 tickets on sale Saturday, Feb. 1 at Auto Show
MARNE, MI - The snow continues to pile up across West Michigan, but the first sign of spring is on its way. Tickets for Berlin Raceway's 2003 season go on sale this Saturday, February 1 at the Michigan International Auto Show at the Grand Center. Tickets will also be available for the 2003 Whitecaps baseball season.
Ticket sales will begin at 10:30 Saturday morning in the lobby of DeVos Hall, with several activities and special offers planned. ASA's 2002 Pat Schauer Memorial Rookie of the Year David Stremme will be on hand to meet fans, along with his show car. Stremme is expected to race at Berlin on Saturday, August 2 when the ASA races are in town. He is also scheduled to take part in seven NASCAR Busch Series races for Chip Ganassi Racing this year.
In addition, Detroit Tigers alumnus Jason Thompson, current Tiger pitcher and former Whitecap Andy Van Hekken and Whitecaps Manager Phil Regan will be signing autographs throughout the morning. Fans will also get to test their throwing skills with the Speed Pitch game, and there will also be an opportunity for kids to win prizes at the duck pond.
Fans who make the trip to DeVos Hall will be able to take advantage of some great Berlin Raceway deals. Four adult tickets, two Berlin caps and a value pack including popcorn, a hot dog, a regular size Pepsi and a soft pretzel will sell for just $44.00. That's a savings of more than $15.00.
Whitecaps fans can take advantage of special deals as well: On Saturday only, the Whitecaps will be offering a special ticket plan that includes four reserved seats to any game, two home run zone caps and a value pack for popcorn, a hot dog, a regular size Pepsi and a soft pretzel. That package would normally cost more than $60.00, but on Saturday, you can purchase it for just $30.00. A new family package will also be available for the first time on Saturday. Fifth Third Bank Family Nights will be held on April 3, May 23, June 19, July 24 and August 21. For those games, fans can buy four lawn or bleacher tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas for just $20.00.
Tickets to all 2003 Berlin races will be available on Saturday. There is no limit to the amount of tickets that can be purchased. Cash, check, VISA, Mastercard, Discover and American Express will all be accepted as payment for tickets. Fans who are unable to make it to the DeVos Hall Lobby can purchase tickets through TicketMaster by phone (616-456-3333), on the Internet (www.ticketmaster.com or www.berlinraceway.com) or in person at TicketMaster outlets in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Illinois. Ticket prices for weekly races are $11 in advance and $12 on the day of the race, while special event prices range from $15 to $25 in advance.
The Berlin Raceway Ticket Office will open for individual ticket sales later in the spring; however, fans who want to purchase tickets early can do so at the administrative offices (2060 Berlin Fair Drive) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
