V8 Stock Cars Race One
After making a poor getaway at the rolling start, series leader Andrew Miedecke dropped as low as sixth position before staging a great fightback to take heat one of round five of the V8 Stock Car Championship.

Richard Howe (Ford Thunderbird) made a blinding start to take the initial lead before being overtaken by Barry Blake (Chev Monte Carlo).

Mark Harrison (Chev) displaced Howe on the second lap before gaining the lead the next time around. For several laps Harrison and Blake diced until Miedecke's charge swooped past both on lap eight.

Howe spun on the same lap, relinquishing fourth before Harrision slipped off the track and surrendered third a lap later.

Miedecke took the win and a bigger lead in the series, from Blake, Harrison, Tony Southwell and Bob Middleton. Howe came over the line next while Rusty French's Chev, which was as high as fourth in the closing stages was a late retirement.

V8 Stock Cars Race Two
The reverse grid race was led away by Bob Middleton who showed the way to Rusty French and Tony Southwell for the first three laps. Then followed Mark Harrison ahead of Richard Howe. Starting from the back Andrew Miedecke picked off John Woodlands, Barry Blake, Nigel Benson and Chris Templer on the opening lap.

On lap four Middleton came unstuck at turn 10 handing the lead, and subsequent race win to French. Miedecke continued to charge through the field getting to second on lap seven and promptly going off in turn one on the next lap with Harrison going to the grass in avoidance.

Southwell thus inherited second for the duration ahead of Howe, Middleton, Harrison, Miedecke and Woodlands.

V8 Stock Cars Race Three
With the combination of the two previous results determining the grid positions for the final heat, Andrew Miedecke started from the outside of the front row and shot straight to the lead.

Within a lap he had established a handy advantage over Mark Harrison and it was one he maintained all the way to the flag. The lone Ford of Richard Howe was third for the opening two laps before succumbing to the Chev of Rusty French, then Barry Blake.

Blake hiccuped on lap four and dropped behind Tony Southwell and Howe, then had a big lose two laps later handing sixth to Chris Templer.
