Defending race champion, Mike Smith from Akron, Ohio in the #26 T-Bird came from his sixth starting spot to finish second. Danny Keaton in the #car finished third and Chris Herndon in the #44 Holts Floor Service machine was fourth. Florida's Brad May in the #33 MRD Motorsports ride fell to a fifth place finish after starting on the outside pole.
The 30 lap race for the Intermedia Allison Legacy cars was hindered with ten cautions after the forty car field took the green flag. Racing action was tight from second place on back as Randleman, North Carolina's Mark Howard #7 battled side by side with Sam Yarbrough in the #27 car until contact took both cars out of contention.
