This is the third consecutive year Leisure Tyme Rentals will be sponsoring the event. Drivers are entering from across the US. Carolina Region points leader Chris Herndon from Durham, North Carolina will be hoping for the win in his home state along with National points leader, Jay Godley from Charlotte, North Carolina.
NASCAR Legend, Donnie Allison will be on hand along with Doris "Ms Fireball" Roberts to meet fans. Doris is riding in the parade lap on a motorcycle with Kenny Allison. Harley Davidsons and Cars and Trucks from the "Old Timers Club" will also be in the parade lap and on display at the track.
A New Trailblazer 250 from Butch Mock's Polaris of the Carolina's will be given away to a lucky race fan along with many door prizes. Jeff Gordon's car #24 simulator will be at the track from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sunday for fans to drive.
Grandstands Open at 11:00 am on Sunday, the 300 lap race beginning at 2:00 pm. Adult admission, $12 , seniors & 6-12 $6. Under 6 free.
Saturday, Nov 11 will be practice and qualifying beginning at 11:00am. Admission $2, 12 & under free.
LEGACY CARS TO COMPETE AT CONCORD MOTOR SPEEDWAY in conjunction with HOOTERS CUP RACE
Twenty three cars are entered in the Intermedia Allison Legacy Series National race at Concord Motor Speedway from 7 different states including Michigan, Florida, Ohio and Pennsylvania. The half mile track is sure to host an exciting race among the Legacy contenders. The fifty lap event will take place immediately following the Hooters Cup race.
Nineteen year old Emily Harkins from Largo, Florida is entered with two of her teamates. Emily has been driving Quarter Midgets since she was 5 years old. This is her first year in the Legacy Series. Currently she stands third in National Rookie Points and twenty first in the National Points Race.
Concord is the fifteenth stop on the National Tour for the Allison Legacy Cars for the season. The next race at Hickory Motor Speedway on November 12th will be the last points race for the year. Jay Godley is currently leading the National Points with 1393. Mike Smith from Akron, Ohio is second in points with 1345. Young Joel Kauffman from LaGrange, Indiana is in third with 1071.
