Blown Engine Ends Fontaine's Run In Hoosier Cup Race #4

Saturday, April 17, 2004 -- Bradenton,FL-Chris Fontaine qualified the GGR Roofing/BDH Construction/Fletcher Contracting #47 in the 10th spot to start the fourth race of the AACS Hoosier Cup series.

At the start of the race Fontaine's car was strong, and by the first caution on lap 16 he had moved up to the nineth spot.

After the restart on lap 18, Fontaine pressured the eighth place #02 for the next 16 laps before caution came out again.

On the restart, Fontaine continued to put pressure on the #02 car, looking first to the inside, then to the outside to make a pass in the corners.

Then on lap 44, a valve in Fontaine's engine failed, sending him to the infield. Fontaine was credited with 24th place in the final race results.
