Pevely, Mo. (September 1, 2001) - Another huge field of cars are expected at the 19th annual I-55 Pepsi Nationals. Last year, the $10,000 to win UMP Late Model feature attracted some of the best late model drivers in the country including Dan Schlieper, Billy Moyer, Terry Phillips, Bob Pierce, Kevin Weaver, Don O'Neal and Brian Birkhofer. Some of the top drivers from the area were also on hand including Ed Dixon, Randy Korte, Mark Oller and Tim Ratajczyk. Another local favorite, Kevin Gundaker, will also be on hand. There were almost 50 late models in attendance last year and this year promises to be just as good.

The UMP Modifieds will be competing, with the winner taking home $1200. Nearly 70 modifieds competed last year, with defending track champion Scott Weber taking the victory.
