Wissota Sprints ready for Anderson Memorial.

The 2002 Wissota Sprint Series will get underway on Saturday, April 20th at the Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin with the first Annual Billy Anderson Memorial. The event, originally scheduled for April 13th, is designed to honor the memory of former Wissota Sprint driver, Billy Anderson, who was killed at the Knoxville Raceway in June of 1999.

The event will feature an increased purse and will pay $1,200 to win, $800 for second, and $200 to start if 30 cars are present because of a contribution by Butch Donahue of www.bikershop.com There will also be a Loucks and Associates Dash for Cash with $500 to win. In addition to this, the Minnesota Dirt Track Racing webpage at www.gotomn.com has put up a $250 hard charger award. Gates will open at 3PM on Saturday with hot laps at 5PM and racing at 6PM.

There will be an open practice session for all divisions from 6-9PM on Friday night, April 19th.
