Qld Champion Tony Bridge jumped to the lead at the green flag and was never headed during the running of the 25 lap Feature event at Round 10 of the Qld Sprintcar Summer ShootOut at Brisbane International Speedway on March 3. Bridge (AB Bridge Removalists Avenger) came under pressure from the #5 Valvoline Maxim of Darrell Hodges with three laps remaining but used the lapped traffic to his advantage and held on for the win with Todd Wanless completing the podium.

It was a solid return to the racetrack for Bridge after sustaining a lot of damage to the car in a crash at the recent Australian Tiltle, with a heat win first up and he looked set to repeat the performance in his second heat before pulling infield while running strong at the front. The loss of points from the second heat enabled Bridge to enjoy a front row start, an opportunity he seized with both hands, opening a sizeable lead in the opening laps. Hodges, who surprisingly missed the 3x3 ShootOut, a rarity for him this season, finished fourth in both his heats and ran in second position for most of the race but was not able to assert any real pressure on Bridge until the closing laps. Wanless (ABC AutoGear Maxim), had moved into third by lap 12 from position nine and was chasing hard but fell short of the two leaders at the end by only a few car lengths, picking up the night's Performance Wholesale Hard Charger Award for his efforts.

The action throughout the Feature event centred mid-field with Stephen Bell, Peter Thorley, Darren Jensen and Drew Kruck all swapping positions lap after lap, with Jensen continually running low in the turns looking for a way past while Kruck elected to run high, bouncing the car over the cushion a number of times through turns three and four. Bell (Speedflow Maxim), who had earlier won the Right Price Exhausts 3x3 ShootOut and set fast time with a 12.34 second lap, held on for fourth ahead of Thorley (Qld Diesel Spares J&J), Jensen (Serco Maxim) and Kruck (Titan Garages Eagle) in an entertaining battle. Adam McKenzie (Electrostatic Coatings Gambler), Phil Foster (Foster Freight Stealth) and Sherri Schaffer (ACE Fireworks Maxim) completed the field of finishers.
