Skip is not replacing 'The Fly' however one of Skip's many brothers, Jeff Jackson will become a part of the team for the remainder of the season as he takes on the crew chief role at Ian Lewis Racing.

Team owner Dave Challons put out a worldwide cry for help in August after original choice Nick Speed left to work for another team. This forced Challons, Lewis and Donovan Meaney to work together on how to setup the Komatsu Used Equipment, Adtrans, Camden Neon Signs, J&J Auto Racing car.

"We along with many other teams missed the setup bad at Brisbane. It was unfortunate as the car is fresh and nowhere near showed any signs of the potential it can achieve. This is where Jeff comes into the equation to ensure a repeat performance does not occur," explained Challons.

Jackson will now have the honour of putting his vast experience to good use on the Komatsu Used Equipment, Adtrans, Camden Neon Signs, J&J Auto Racing machine that includes a brand new Maxwill engine that is just waiting to be put to the fullest of use.

"Jeff has acquired himself a vast range of experience over the years through constant contact with his brother and I'm positive this weekend in Adelaide we can start to rectify our points position."

"They are a very close knit bunch of guys at Ian Lewis Racing and travelling with them in their second full World Series Sprintcars season will be tough however we are more then ready to start attacking at the top five," said Jackson.

Last weekend the team saw the second round of WSS at Charlton Raceway cancelled due to a late thunderstorm. This round has been rescheduled for January 7, which breaks up the two consecutive races at Brisbane International Speedway.

This weekend the team will contest round three of the series at Speedway City in Adelaide.

Ian Lewis Racing is sponsored by Komatsu Used Equipment, Adtrans Truck Centre, Camden Neon Signs, J&J Auto Racing, Cascade, The Metric Men and Transport Equipment Hire.
