Orrville, OH --- Race fans will have quite a night on Saturday June 23 when Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio hosts their annual FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT at the ultra-fast 3/8 mile clay oval. The annual FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT celebration is always looked forward to by race fans and competitors as a way to meet and greet each other, obtain autographs and it is also a chance for race fans to win prizes. A full program of racing events will also be staged featuring the Super Late Models, 360 Sprint Cars and WCS Stock Cars. In addition to the FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT activities, Wayne County Speedway management will also host "Rusty McClure Night", which was postponed due to rain on May 26. "Rusty McClure Night" will be a special benefit night for the injured Sprint Car racer and former WCS Sprint Car champion.
Race fans will be able to meet the drivers and get their autographs from 1:00 - 4:00 PM in the parking lot where many of the race teams will have their cars and drivers present. During the evening's racing activities race fans will also have a chance at scores of prizes.
"So far we have nearly 200 prizes and gifts to give away," stated WCS Fan Appreciation Night Coordinator Deb Delaney. "The businesses in the area, as well as businesses outside the region have been very receptive and very generous. As has many racing companies, such as the MACS and UDTRA series. Fans will be surprised and excited when they see all the wonderful prizes we have accumulated so far. And we are still accepting more if anyone is interested."
Among some of the companies that have contributed so far include GRT Race Cars, MACS, UDTRA, Rocket Chassis, A&W Rootbeer, Smuckers', Delaney Racing, Markham Racing, Cleveland Zoo, Smith Dairy, Area Auto Racing News, Coke, Wooglers' Bagels, Pittsburgh Circle Track Club, Gilead Balm Manor, and many, many others.
"This is always a terrific night for the race fans and drivers to interact and have fun," stated Delaney. "The race fans can show their support and meet their favorite drivers and have a chance to take home an outstanding prize. And to top it all off they will also have the opportunity to see some of the best dirt track racing in Ohio that night. It's a win-win situation and we welcome all race fans to come out to Wayne County Speedway on Saturday night June 23. It will be great!"
Racing activities will commence at 7:00 PM that night. But WCS management encourages everyone to attend early to meet with the drivers prior to the racing activities.
