J&J'S Victorious All Across The Map As Schatz, Dewease, Keel, Gray And Wilson Win Sprint Car Races Last Week
McKENZIE, TN - As the calendar reaches mid-August, sprint car teams typically find themselves seeing the end of the season in sight. With that in mind, the mindset changes from just going to the track to claiming championships and winning as many races as possible before the season ends. Last week, J&J Auto Racing competitors won races all over the map including in Montana with the Pennzoil World of Outlaws, Mississippi in USCS action, in Pennsylvania both at Lincoln Speedway and Port Royal Speedway and in Canada with the Southern Ontario Sprints series.
USCS national points leader, Terry Gray, from Bartlett, Tennessee drove his #10 J&J to the lead on lap two of the thirty lap United Sprint Car Series main event Saturday night at Jackson Motor Speedway and streaked home to victory before one of the speedway's largest crowds of the season.
Gray earned the sixth starting position by winning the Airflow Research "Power Dash." After starting sixth, he made an impressive move to the high side of the track to pass the other two rows going into turn one and coming out of turn two on the first lap to take the lead and race home for the win.
"I always liked this track when I have raced here in the past," said Gray. "We were really just about perfect in our setup with our J&J here this time and we had a great night."
