Reilly To Drive For Nichols and Beavers in 2004

A few years back, Watertown, South Dakota's Terry Reilly hung up his helmet. Shortly after, he returned to the sport of Sprint Car racing. A big part of what lured him back was the time spent racing with friends, car owner Jim Haney and crewmen Lannie Nichols and Dana Beavers. Now, in 2004, these roles will switch. Nichols, who is nationally known for his racing broadcasting, and Beavers have taken over ownership of the team and they will race for the season championship at Huset's Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota on Sunday nights.

"Jim Haney is still a big part of the team, but Dana Beavers and myself have taken over the spending part of the deal. We plan on hitting Huset's every Sunday night. We are also concentrating on the National NMRA 360 title and will make selected starts at Lake County Speedway in Madison, South Dakota," said Nichols. The team will also continue to run with the Jackpot Junction Series and Wissota Sprints Series when time allows.

The team will be sponsored by Butlerbuilt Seats and Safety Equipment, Nichols Construction and Beave's Truck Wash, Dupont Electric, Timmerman Woodworking, Doc's Bar and Tool Time Rental.

In 2003, Reilly had three wins while driving for Jim Haney. Those wins came against NMRA competition at Huset's, IMCA competition in Arlington, Minnesota and against Wissota in Madison, Minnesota.
