MAXIMs Win WOO, All Star, Golden State Challenge and Posse Events
Winners with the World of Outlaws, All Star Circuit of Champions, Golden State Challenge Series, and Pennsylvania Posse relied on MAXIM Race Chassis to get to victory lane this past weekend.
Brian Paulus scored a World of Outlaws win at The Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway Saturday, earning $10,000 aboard the Arnold Transportation MAXIM. Paulus led a top six sweep for Team MAXIM, with Kraig Kinser finishing second ($5,500), Jason Meyers third ($3,200), Shane Stewart fourth ($2,800), point leader Steve Kinser fifth ($2,500) and Jason Sides sixth ($2,300).
Danny Smith took the win with the All Star Circuit of Champions Friday at Paducah, Kentucky, earning $5,000 aboard the Pence Olds MAXIM. The win was Smith's 25th career All Star victory.
"I lost my good friend and great mechanic Jim Bennett, and to come back the first night out with the son turning the wrenches tonight it was pretty special," Smith said in tribute to his late mechanic who suffered a heart attack two weeks ago. "The track was smooth, but it wasn't a runaway. Once Kelly (Kinser) got by me I changed my line a little bit and got her through to the front. When you start on the front row you don't have much strategy, just run as hard as you can."
Jason Statler followed up Placerville glory by also winning the Golden State Challenge Series event at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California with his MAXIM.
Cris Eash became the first repeat winner of the 2004 season at Lincoln Speedway in Central Pennsylvania, winning with the family-owned MAXIM Saturday evening.
Mark Richards was a winner the week prior at Port Royal Speedway, taking the victory with the ZEMCO MAXIM.
