NEWBERRYTOWN, PA (September 23, 2004) -- Greg Hodnett closed the 2004 Sprint Car season at Susquehanna Speedway Park with his fourth win of the season. In other action Larry Hughes Jr. won the Xtreme Enduro Stock Car feature event.

Hodnett started ninth in the 25-lap Sprint Car feature event, but chased tenth place starter Lance Dewease up through the field. Dewease took the lead from race long leader Brent Kluge on the eighth lap, but lost the top spot to Hodnett on the 11th circuit. Hodnett stayed in front through the remainder of the distance to best Dewease for the $2500 victory. The win was Hodnett's sixth career SSP win. The win also kept Hodnett third in the final point standings.

Dewease finished second to claim second spot in the points, with 12th starter, and 2004 SSP point champion Fred Rahmer third. Blane Heimbach came from the 14th starting spot to take fourth, with Dave Cordier Jr. fifth. Rounding out the top ten were Josh Wells, Eric Stambaugh, Cory Haas, Kevin Nouse, and Scott Lutz. Heats went to Wells, Dewease and Rahmer, with Stambaugh taking the consolation event.

Hughes started fourth in the 20-lap Xtreme Enduro Stock Car feature, and took the lead from Greg Miller on the third lap.
