J. Montgomery, Adams, Lebaube and McKinney win SFCR Saturday features.
FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (Aug. 31, 2002) On the first night of the Labor Day weekend show at the St. Francois County Raceway, Joey Montgomery of Fredericktown was the winner of the sprint car feature with his older brother Timmy Montgomery taking second, Tommy Worley Jr. third, Ronnie Standridge fourth and Bob Thoman fifth. They were followed by Jimmy Moughan, Rod Crabdree, Jason Keith, Jason Hunt and Casey Barnhouse. Worley Jr. won the first heat race with Keith second and Timmy Moss third. Standridge won the second heat with Timmy Montgomery second and Moughan third. Thoman won the third heat race with Hunt second and Jeremy Standridge third. Crabdree won the fourth heat with Joey Montgomery second and Brett Sammons third. Ted Adams won the "B" main with A.J. Bruns second and Brad Martin third. Joey Montgomery won the dash with Worley Jr. second and Timmy Montgomery third.
In the Hobby Stock class, Chuck Adams of Piedmont continued his outstanding season by winning yet another feature, this time by catching Chris Boyd very late in the race to pick up the victory. Boyd finished second with Kevin Mosier third, Karl Francis fourth and Jeremy Greenwalt fifth. They were followed by Mike Francis, Brad Mashek, Doug Savage, Tim Phares and Randy Forster. Boyd won the first heat race with Adams second and Dave Crawford third. Kenny Harris won the second heat race with Mosier second and Mike Francis third.
In the Modified class, Jeff Lebaube drove his #29 to victory lane with Mike Crader taking second, Kenny Kennedy third, Billy "the Kid" Smith fourth and Keith Ruff fifth. They were followed by Chris Boyd, Dylan Sharp, Billy Ames, Tommy Worley Sr. and Danny Resinger. Lebaube won the first heat with Ruff second and Dean Resinger third. Smith won the second heat with Ames second and Boyd third. Crader won the third heat with Bill Gilliam second and Sharpe third. Kennedy won heat four with Jim Fisher second and Adam Parmeley third. Danny Resinger won the "B" main with Gary Haynes second and Dan Zander third.
In the 600cc Multi class, #55 Lance McKinney captured another feature win with Tommy Boyd second, Daniel Adler third, Shawn Merritt fourth and Kent Buckley fifth. They were followed by Jeremy Boyer, Jimmy Bridgeman, Dustin Barks, Joey Boyd and Kevin Bess. Adler won the first heat race with Boyer second and Bridgeman third. McKinney won the second heat with Josh Statler second and Buckley third. Tommy Boyd won the third heat with Merritt second and Joey Boyd third. Barks won the "B" main with Bess second and Todd Reynolds third.
Tonight (Sunday) at SFCR the Winged Outlaw Warriors will be in town to join the winged sprints, the modifieds and the multis. The hobby stock class is off tonight at Farmington.
