Sprint Bandits slate Labor Day Attica invasion.
TULSA, Okla. (February 2, 2004) -- Ohio's Attica Raceway Park is the latest addition to the Sprint Bandits schedule, as the series is set for a Labor Day invasion of the racy 1/3-mile high- banked clay oval on Saturday and Sunday, September 4-5.
"Attica Raceway Park is among the finest Sprint Car racing venues in the country," commented Sprint Bandits founder and President Emmett Hahn. "The fan base in Ohio is tremendous, so naturally we're enthused that Attica is hosting the Sprint Bandits series on Labor Day weekend for two great nights of racing."
Located amidst Ohio's Sprint Car racing hotbed, Attica Raceway Park joins other top Sprint Car venues, including Knoxville Raceway and Devil's Bowl Speedway, on the 2004 Sprint Bandits schedule.
The Sprint Bandits series will kick off its much-anticipated inaugural season with the 31st Annual Devil's Bowl Speedway Winter Nationals in Mesquite, TX, on March 19-20, before moving on to Tunica's Delta Bowl Speedway on March 27.
The Sprint Bandits are also slated to make their first appearance at Knoxville Raceway on May 29. Additionally, in a non-point event, the Sprint Bandits will take on the USAC National Sprints in a non-wing challenge at Memphis Motorsports Park on May 7, with a $5,000 bonus on tap for any Sprint Bandits regular that can top USAC's wingless aces.
The balance of the 2004 Sprint Bandits schedule, which will include 20- 25 nights of racing, will be announced soon.
