TULSA, Okla. (August 18, 2003) - The excitement of the O'Reilly American Sprint Car Series National Tour presented by Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores and United Trailers kicks back into full gear this Saturday night as the series makes its second stop of the season at Southwest Arkansas Super Speedway in Murfreesboro, AR.

Travis Rilat of Forney, TX, enters the weekend atop a torrid four-way battle for the series championship. With five series triumphs to his credit, Rilat holds just a 22 point advantage over 2001 ASCS National champion Zach Chappell of Talala, OK. Chappell has raced to victory lane in each of the series' last two visits to the 3/8-mile high-banked Southwest Arkansas Super Speedway clay oval, including this year's season opener on April 12.

Not only the leading Brodix Rookie of the Year contender, Bixby, Oklahoma's Darren Stewart remains in the thick of the championship points battle as well, just 28 points out of the lead.

Gary Wright of Hooks, TX, continues to reel in the leaders, now just 40 points off the pace. Wright's eleven triumphs this season have increased his career ASCS total to 72 victories.

A number of other top contenders expected to be on hand, including last year's ASCS National Rookie of the Year Cody Branchcomb of Sapulpa, OK, Toby Brown of Carthage, MO, and three-time series champion Tim Crawley of Mabelvale, AR, among others.

The 2003 O'Reilly Auto Parts American Sprint Car Series National Tour presented by Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores and United Trailers features nearly 50 nights of racing at 25 different tracks throughout Arkansas, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas. Including the Regional events throughout the Gulf South, Sooner and Rocky Mountain Regions, the American Sprint Car Series will present close to 100 nights of racing at nearly 50 different tracks in fourteen states.

Southwest Arkansas Super Speedway is located 4.8 miles south of Arkansas State Road 301 in Murfreesboro on State Road 27.
