TULSA, Okla. (March 22, 2005) -- The Heintz Performance American Sprint Car Series Southern Tour has added a pair of North Carolina racetracks to the 2005 slate, as both the New 311 Speedway and Thunder Valley Speedway have inked a pair of dates for this season.

The New 311 Speedway, a half-mile high-banked clay oval located in Madison, NC, will host the ASCS Southern Tour for the first time on June 11, with the series set to make a return on September 24.

Also recently added to the ASCS Southern Tour slate is Thunder Valley Speedway located in Lawndale, NC. The four-tenths mile, semi-banked clay oval hosts the ASCS Southern Tour on April 29, then once again on August 26.

More than 20 drivers have already committed to run the entire Heintz Performance ASCS Southern Tour this year as the American Sprint Car Series makes a return to the southeastern portion of the United States.

The finishing touches are being put on the ASCS Southern Tour schedule, which will include approximately 15 races in 2005.

In total, including the O'Reilly ASCS National Tour, the Heintz Performance ASCS Southern Tour and the Sooner, Gulf South and Rocky Mountain Regions, the American Sprint Car Series will sanction nearly 120 nights of racing in 2005 at more than 50 different racetracks throughout at least 15 different states.
