Joining Jennings will be defending Sooner Region co-champions Kevin Ramey of Fort Worth and Andy Shouse of Oklahoma City along with 2001 champion J.P. Bailey, who now resides in the Fort Worth area as well. Ramey, who also captured the ASCS Sooner Region championship in 2003, ranks as the winningest driver in Sooner Region history with ten feature triumphs in the 54 events contested since the inception of the Sooner Region in 2001. Jennings ranks second on the Sooner Region win charts with six triumphs.
Other top shoes expected for Saturday night's event include former World of Outlaws shoe Danny Wood, a four-time Sooner Region feature event winner in '04, along with Sean McClelland, Foster Landon and Preston Peebles II, each of whom finished among the top five in '04 Sooner Region points.
Others expected for Saturday night's action include Nick Smith, Cody Branchcomb, Barry McCord, Jake Martens, Dex Eaton, Eric Baldaccini, Dara Morrow and ASCS National Tour Brodix Rookie of the Year contender Tony Bruce, Jr., who is currently ranked second to Jennings in National points.
Approximately 30 cars will be in action for Saturday night's American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region opener, which is slated to get under way at 7:30 p.m.
