TULSA, Okla. (September 23, 2003) - Many of the nation's top drivers will converge on Sedalia's historic half-mile State Fair Speedway this Thursday through Saturday for the inaugural running of the Sedalia 360 Shootout, featuring the stars of the O'Reilly American Sprint Car Series National Tour presented by Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores and United Trailers along with the Winged Outlaw Warriors.
An Action Sports Promotions event, the Sedalia 360 Shootout features a total three-day purse of $60,000, including $10,000 to win Saturday night's finale with $1,000 to start Saturday's main event.
ASCS stars Travis Rilat, Gary Wright, Shane Stewart, Zach Chappell and Darren Stewart will take on WOW hotshoes Eric Schrock, Randy Martin, Bobby Hawks and Mike Trent along with other top national guns including Billy Alley, Erin Crocker, Jesse Hockett, Brian Brown, Jesse Gianetto and many more in pursuit of the $10,000 winner's share.
The field for the three-day Sedalia 360 Shootout will be split in half for Thursday and Friday night's qualifying action, with the top two finishers from each night's feature locked into Saturday night's finale. Passing points will be used in heats. ASCS rules apply, with mufflers mandatory (Schoenfeld 112535-no gutting) and the weight rule of 1,300 lbs. without driver will be in effect.
Admission for Thursday and Friday night's racing will be $10, with Saturday's admission only $20. Children ages 6-12 are only $5 for each night, with children five and under free. Gates open at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, then open at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
