KNOXVILLE, IOWA (SEPTEMBER 4, 2002) - Tim Crawley of Mabelvale, Arkansas, is the top-rated 360-cubic-inch sprint car driver in the nation heading into this weekend's Bully Hill Vineyards Fall Sprint Nationals, according to the National 360 Sprint Car Poll voting panel of manufacturers, media members, promoters and sanctioning officials. Crawley, the current American Sprint Car Series (ASCS) point leader, earned seven of the twenty first-place ballots cast.
Ranked second in the seasonal 360 poll is ASCS runner-up Michael Dupuy of Amite, Louisiana. Dupuy, who received three first place votes, was rated number one in the spring edition of the poll. Rounding out the top five in the poll are three additional point leaders, United Racing Club's Bill Brian of Lititz, Penna., United Sprint Car Series' Terry Gray of Bartlett, Tenn., and Empire Super Sprints' Mike Woodring of Eden, New York.
Gray earned three first place votes, while Brian earned two and Woodring one, respectively. Both Brian and Woodring are favorites to win this weekend's fourth annual Bully Hill Vineyards Fall Sprint Nationals at the Black Rock Speedway in Dundee, New York.
Completing the top ten drivers in the nation are Gary Wright, Knoxville point champion Brian Brown, defending "Driver of the Year" Zach Chappell, Knoxville 360 Nationals winner Jeff Swindell, and Northern Sprint Tour (NST) point leader Roger Crockett, respectively. Wright, Brown, Swindell and Brodix Tournament of Champions (ToC) winner Josh Higday each received one first place vote.
