TULSA, Okla. (August 19, 2003) - Randi Miller will try to extend his current four-race winning streak in American Sprint Car Series Rocky Mountain Region competition as the series contests a pair of events in Wyoming this weekend, starting off at Casper Speedway on Friday night, then moving on to Sweetwater Speedway in Rock Springs on Saturday night.
Through the series first 18 events of the 2003 season, Miller has amassed a 158 point lead over defending series champion Mike Dreiling. Included among Miller's nine series triumphs this season is one during the previous stop at Sweetwater Speedway on May 31. Miller has also been successful at Casper Speedway, topping both ASCS Rocky Mountain Region events held there in 2002.
Dreiling, who made a trip to victory lane at Sweetwater Speedway last season, has posted three triumphs this season, while Eric Miller, currently ranked third in points, has claimed one victory. Jake Pierson and Scott Milan round out the current top five, with Mason Hill, Geoff Dodge, Jace Pennetta, T.J. Thorne and Nick Haygood completing the current top ten.
The ½-mile semi-banked Casper Speedway dirt oval is located off I-25 Exit 189 (Events Center exit), then 0.9 miles east on Events Drive, then a half-mile northeast on East Road. For more information, contact the track at 307-266-1389.
