ASCS Rocky Mountain Region ready for Sweetwater Speedway

TULSA, Okla. (May 27, 2003) - The American Sprint Car Series Rocky Mountain Region is set to invade the high-banked, three-eighths mile Sweetwater Speedway clay oval in Rock Springs, WY, on Saturday night, May 31.

Randi Miller of Rapid City, SD, has kicked off the ASCS Rocky Mountain Region season in strong form, winning each of the series' first two events, posting victories in South Dakota and Kansas. Defending ASCS Rocky Mountain Region champion Mike Dreiling of Highlands Ranch, CO, is second in early season points, with Eric Miller of Thornton, CO, in third and C.J. Johnson of Quinter, KS, in fourth. Kevin Hulse of Grand Island, NE, and Mark Walender of Wheatridge, CO, are currently tied for fifth in points.

Other top ASCS Rocky Mountain Region regulars expected for Saturday night's racing action at Sweetwater Speedway include Jace Pennetta, Nick Haygood, Mason Hill and Patrick Bourke among others.

Saturday's event marks the third of 26 nights of racing for the ASCS Rocky Mountain Region in 2003 throughout South Dakota, Kansas, Wyoming, New Mexico, Colorado and Montana.
